Project Introduction

A full brand refresh and digital redesign for a long-standing community organization, supported by a new website, annual report design, campaign materials, social graphics, event collateral, and public-facing communications.

the challenge

The United Planning Organization supports communities through workforce development, early childhood education, housing assistance, public outreach and other essential programs.

The organization needed a refreshed visual presence that better represented the scale of that work. Its website and communications also needed a stronger sense of consistency across the many digital, print and community-facing materials used to promote its programs and impact.

our solution

I approached the project as a connected brand system rather than a series of individual design pieces.

The website established the foundation for a more polished and mission-driven visual direction. That same design language could then extend across reports, campaigns, events, social media and community outreach while remaining flexible enough to support different programs and audiences.

Together, these materials created a more cohesive system for presenting UPO’s programs, initiatives and organizational impact.

Design and Execution

I developed the visual direction and carried it across UPO’s website, print materials, digital campaigns and public-facing communications.

Each application was designed to feel connected to the larger brand while still meeting the needs of its specific format and audience. This created consistency across very different touchpoints without limiting the organization’s ability to communicate a wide range of programs and initiatives.

the result

The project gave UPO a more unified and recognizable presence across its digital, print and outreach channels.

The refreshed system strengthened the organization’s visual identity while making its programs, community work and broader impact easier to communicate through the website and supporting materials.
