Project Introduction

An integrated design program for Westar Distribution that translated technical product information into clear marketing materials and early e-commerce concepts.

the challenge

Westar Distribution specializes in automotive components such as air suspension systems and engine mounts.

The company needed marketing materials that could communicate detailed product information clearly while maintaining a consistent visual direction across catalogs, signage, email campaigns and other customer touchpoints.

The project also presented an opportunity to explore how that product catalog and purchasing experience could eventually move into a more digital environment.

the Strategy

I approached the work as a connected system of product communication rather than a collection of unrelated promotional pieces.

The strategy was to establish a consistent visual direction that could work across print and digital formats while making technical information easier for customers to understand and use.

That same thinking informed the early exploration of Partzoo, a concept for a more streamlined online parts-purchasing experience.

our solution

I created a range of marketing and promotional materials supporting Westar’s air suspension and engine mount product lines.

The work included:

• Product catalog design • Signage and promotional displays • Email campaign creative • Product-focused marketing materials • Supporting digital assets • Early concepts for the Partzoo e-commerce platform

Together, these materials gave Westar a more coordinated way to present its products across sales, marketing and digital channels.

Design and Execution

I translated Westar’s technical product information into visual layouts that prioritized clarity, organization and consistency.

Catalogs and promotional materials were designed to help customers navigate product information more easily, while campaign assets carried the same visual direction into email and digital marketing.

For Partzoo, I explored how Westar’s catalog and customer experience could be adapted into an online purchasing platform. Although the platform remained conceptual, the work extended the project from product marketing into early user-experience and e-commerce thinking.

the result

Westar received a more unified collection of marketing materials for communicating its products across print and digital touchpoints.

The Partzoo concept also helped demonstrate how the company’s product catalog and purchasing experience could evolve online. Elements of that exploratory thinking later carried into Westar’s updated web presence, giving the conceptual work value beyond its original scope.
